Merna, NE

Merna, Nebraska, population 400, near the edge of the Nebraska Sandhills, is a community of diversified farming and ranching. Located in Custer County its fertile valley is encircled by distant canyon hills and high tablelands on both east and west.

Highways 2, 92, and 70 divide at the edge of town as they wind their way to the next towns, Alliance and North Platte.

Mryna Loy was named after the town of Merna. Her dad was traveling across Nebraska, liked the name, and gave it to his daughter.
